The first excursion

After the dislocated arm and discussions about many construction sites around the boat had taken their toll on our mood, this time it was supposed to be nice! Not primarily work on the boat but enjoyment with the boat. Lennard was with us so that we had enough strong arms and it was already April after all. Not yet summer, but we are in the south of France.

Shopping for 3 people, one week

Shopping with Katja has always been great! The three of us spent almost two hours in the French mega-supermarket and, thanks to our hunger, stocked up like royalty while shopping. The French have the most delicious cheese and simply amazing food. We marvelled at the selection of cheeses, all kinds of fish, great vegetables... it was great! Just not at the till... but Katja invited us :-). It's good to have the daughter of a chef with you, they don't skimp on the food!

At anchor

For a change, the south of France surprised us with very light winds. After our last experience with storms in the harbour, we were actually quite happy with this. Although we also wanted to test how the boat handles in strong winds, our need for relaxation was just as great and we were ultimately grateful that it was so calm.

Our destination was the Parc National de Port-Cros, a nature reserve south-east of Toulon. A paradise! The islands are protected, anchoring is only permitted in a few places, visitor flows are regulated and there are no cars. Instead, there are lots of birds, fish and the scent of thyme and rosemary. Herbs of Provence.

And finally we have our first party on board! Anja and Fred come over with Lilly and Max and together we test how life is with 7 people on the boat. It's only now that it's really coming to life!
